Black Grouse photographing

There are several places near the wilderness centre where black grouse (Tetrao tetrix) can be photographed during their courtship ritual. Photographing takes place in a hide, located at a central spot in the courtship area. It is best to go into the hide in the evening and sleep for a few hours before sunrise. At dawn the black grouse start to gather for courtship and soon the display is in full flow. The best season for courtship is April and early May.

To black grouse photographing, brown bear (Ursus arctos) photographing on snow can be connected. It is possible to photograph both species during the final weeks of April and in early May. Please find photography packages in prices.
